For Clients
EMDR
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a mental health technique that involves moving your eyes in a specific way while processing traumatic memories. EMDR is designed to help resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain.
Child & Adolescent Therapy
Trauma, sexual abuse, adoption/fostering
We love working with children and teaching them how to manage their emotions in a healthy way. We have experience with many difficult situations, for example, sexual abuse. We work with children and their families to help everyone navigate the process after disclosure.
We also have unique experience working with families as they foster and look to adopt a child who has been removed from their biological home. We work with an attachment lens to help children manage those big feelings around their caregivers.
Trauma Informed Therapy
Trauma-informed therapy is a holistic approach to treatment that acknowledges a client’s trauma and its impact on their behavior, mental health, and ability to engage in treatment. It prioritizes client safety and aims to avoid re-traumatizing them. Trauma-informed therapy can be beneficial for people with a history of trauma, including depression, anxiety, emotional trauma, attachment issues, or racial trauma.

For Clinicians
Individual
Growth and self improvement are some of the most important pillars in my life. I use this philosophy in my approach with clients and consultees. Where are you at as an EMDR therapist? What skills would allow you to deepen your understanding and then step to the next level in your training? I provide resources, visuals, even nerve cell diagrams to help fill in gaps in knowledge and provide a more hands on approach to understanding how EMDR changes the brain.
Group
One of my favorite aspects of clinical work is collaboration. I aim to facilitate interactive groups where everyone knows they bring a unique perspective and experience to the table. I use this interactive approach to help consultees deepen their understanding of EMDR and the AIP model. You will leave groups well prepared to move forward with your challenging cases.
